Return Policies

Store Purchases

Instruments: Customers have 4 days to return an instrument for a full refund. The customer must have the receipt and the instrument must be in new condition, without any warranty being filed. Modifications to the instrument, like a strap button or pickup installation, void the refund. A 3% restocking fee will be deducted from refunds for purchases $1000 and higher paid by credit card.

Accessories: Customers have 4 days to return any accessory. Customers must have the receipt and the product must have its original packaging and be in new condition.

Books and DVDs: There are no refunds. Our staff is always available to help out and be sure you are getting exactly what you want.

Harmonicas: Washington State health regulations prohibit the return of harmonicas. We have a tester available in store. For web orders, we test every harmonica prior to shipping and make sure it is in perfect working order.

Web/Mail Order Purchases: Shipped instruments have a 48-hour, full refund, return policy. A 3% restocking fee will be deducted from refunds for purchases $1000 and higher paid by credit card. Please see our Web/Mail FAQ page for more information.

Music School: Please see our School Policies page.

Concert & Event Tickets: For concert tickets, you can receive a full refund up to the start of the performance. For events, refer to the specific cancellation and refund policies for that event. Dusty Strings may cancel a concert or event at any time for any reason.
