Used Northfield NF-AT02 Archtop Octave Mandolin

It is not often we see a used Northfield instrument; people tend to keep them and it's easy to see why. Built in 2017, this NF-AT02 is an early example of Northfield's archtop octave mandolin and has been well-kept in excellent condition. Playwear is limited to pick marks in the pickguard and upper bass side bout, a few minor scuffs on the back of the headstock, and some faint hazing of the finish on the back. Materials are all first-rate - the Italian alpine spruce top has perfectly spaced parallel grain and the neck and body are constructed of some nicely figured maple. Freshly setup with action measuring at just a hair over 4/64" across the radiused ebony fretboard with a touch of relief in the neck. This mandolin sounds lovely, with a powerful, articulate midrange and polished trebles - very lively and responsive to the player's touch. Includes its original premium fiberglass hard case.
