Learn the basics of the fiddle. A step by step approach for the beginner will cover finger placement, scales, arpeggios, how to use the bow and a few Irish / Scottish melodies. Individual student attention will be available during the class.

Skills Needed: No experience needed!

What to Bring: Bring a fiddle, bow, tuner, notepad, and music stand. Need to rent a fiddle? Try Olsen Violins (Phinney Ridge), Lasley Violins (University District), or Hammond Ashley Violins (Issaquah).

Teacher: Allan MacDonald is from Scotland and has played fiddle since 1978. He plays in Celtic sessions and bands in the Seattle area.

*Most classes and workshops are geared towards late-teens and adults. Younger learners will benefit most starting with private lessons.
