Used Shelton-Farretta Cutaway
$2,495.00
A premium flamenco nylon string guitar hand-built from quality materials by Oregon-based luthier team John Shelton and Susan Farretta. This guitar has all the marks of a fine instrument, from its high-grade Western red cedar top and solid Indian rosewood body to its hand-applied thin varnish finish. Recently setup with comfortable action measuring 4mm and 3.5mm at the 12th fret beneath the low E and high E strings, respectively. The mahogany neck is a full 2" wide at the nut and features a nice D-shaped profile, a bit rounder and deeper than many Spanish necks. A generous Florentine cutaway provides easy access to the highest frets on the ebony fretboard. The top is fan-braced and the sound is very dynamic and clear with accurate intonation up the 25.5" scale. Cosmetic condition is excellent, with a few scattered shallow marks in the finish on the top. Two holes from a previous pickup system have been plugged; one presumably from a volume knob at the bass side shoulder and one at the jack location on the treble side. Includes polyfoam case.
