Used Taylor 814Bce Legends of the Fall
$4,595.00
Introduced as a limited model for the autumn before the turn of the millennium, the 814Bce Legends of the Fall is a Grand Auditorium guitar with an Engelmann spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides among its premium appointments. The three-piece back on this example has a particularly striking grain pattern, accentuated by Bob Taylor's personal doodle inlay. This is a great sounding guitar with a classic Brazilian rosewood voice, harmonically deep but with a certain polish and clarity often absent in Indian rosewood instruments. It also sounds great plugged in, with all knobs and faders on the Fishman Prefix preamp functioning smoothly and silently.
Overall condition is excellent, with wear limited to a few disparate finish dings throughout and some very minor bubbling of the finish on the headstock. Frets have been recently replaced and Plek'd and are near 100%.
