Used Guild Starfire IV (1966)
$3,695.00
From the latter days of the original Guild factory in Hoboken New Jersey, this 1966 Guild Starfire IV survives in well-preserved condition with a brilliant unfaded sunburst and original electronics. The Anti-Hum humbuckers are just killer, packing tons of output and vintage vibe - bold, detailed, and just the right amount of microphonic. The neck is quick and comfortable, with a medium C-shape and a nut width on the narrower side. This guitar has seen very few repairs, with the only modification being the backfill and associated finish touchup of the mounting screw holes for the original tuning machines, which were replaced at some point with a more recent set of Grover Rotomatics. Freshly setup and playing like a dream with very little wear in the original fret wire. Includes what appears to be a Gibson hardcase from the early '70s in great condition.
