Used Gibson ES-335 TD (1974)

A 1974 ES-335 TD in beautifully clean condition featuring the original finish, electronics, and hardshell case. The only modification on this guitar is a trapeze to stoptail conversion, which was clearly performed by a competent luthier. This guitar is from the tail end of Gibson's use of T-top humbuckers with the patent no. stickers, and the original pair in this guitar sounds fantastic, with a distinct voice in each of the three switch positions. The CTS pot codes date the wiring harness to 1974, a vintage that correlates accurately with the pickups, serial number, and other specifications on this guitar. The lacquer finish is in particularly excellent condition, with the blacklight revealing no evidence of repair, touch-up, or overspray. Finish wear is limited to a fair amount of worming on the back and an assortment of minor dings and scratches here and there, but all very shallow and few and far between. Overall, this guitar is in astonishing condition for its age. Setup for silky smooth playing action with 11 gauge strings.
