Used "ODE" resonator banjo
$2,495.00
It is not at all unusual for a banjo to be cobbled together from parts drawn from various sources, whether it be necks, pots, or other, and yet somehow, even with that being the case, this particular banjo is the epitome of unusual.
Essentially, this banjo consists of an Epiphone neck and rim with a Paramount resonator. Simple enough. But, this banjo was put together in the early '60s by Creston "Kix" Stewart, when he was at ODE. It was something of a test bed, fitted with various tone rings, the inlays and neck design/engraving were prototypes, and the tuners were a first as well. It also features an irreverent inlay on the headstock, featuring another brand name that we have chosen to obscure in the photos to protect the innocent.
And we have the documentation to prove it.
