May 13, 2020: Further COVID-19 Updates

36th Annual Folklife Sale: Every year, we celebrate our city’s annual Northwest Folklife Festival on Memorial Day weekend with an in-store-only sale on all new Dusty Strings harps and hammered dulcimers. We are postponing this annual sale until later this summer. With hope and optimism, we look forward to inviting you into our store around Labor Day weekend to explore all our beautiful handcrafted instruments in person. Be sure to stay tuned for updates and details!

Young Musicians Workshop: We have canceled our annual summer music program for kids, Young Musicians Workshop, and instead are happy to connect interested families with our teachers for online private lessons. If you are interested, please email music@dustystrings.com, and we’ll contact you to find the right teacher for your child’s music lessons.

Harp Seattle 2020: In lieu of hosting an in-person Harp Seattle this fall, we will be offering online workshops in October with this year’s planned presenters. Please look for updates on the Harp Seattle 2020 page of our website and be sure to join the Facebook group to connect with this year's presenters and fellow harpers.

Group Classes, Jams, and Concerts: In keeping with our safety-first approach, in-person group classes, jams, and concerts will not take place in the coming months. Although our school spaces will remain closed, we are working to develop the online version of Dusty Strings Music School, where you can already take online private music lessons from all of our familiar and friendly teachers. Repair Shop. Our repair shop is closed right now, and we are not taking in new repairs or appointments. We encourage you to keep an eye on our website, where we will post any updates if we have news about our repair shop reopening.
