Description
Used 2013 Lowden S-35 featuring a Western red cedar top and spectacularly figured Bastogne walnut back and sides in excellent condition and including its original Hiscox hardshell case. Bastogne is the hardest of the walnut species typically used in guitar building, with a clear, reflective tone that complements perfectly the warm, expressive properties of a cedar soundboard. The combination on Lowden's smaller S body makes for a lovely fingerstyle guitar with a deep woody midrange, good projection, and satisfying overtones. Setup with comfortable action measuring a hair above 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high string, respectively, with .005" relief in the 5-piece mahogany and rosewood neck. Cosmetic condition is very clean, with playwear limited to a few tiny finish dings and dimples in the top lacquer around the bottom of the lower bout, very shallow and only visible with a keen and concentrated eye. The back, sides, neck, and frets show no signs of wear.
