Used 1999 Tom Anderson Guitarworks Drop Top Classic featuring a quilted maple cap in translucent black on a lightweight basswood body, equipped with the Anderson Switcheroo system and Vintage Voicing circuit, in excellent condition and including a hardshell case. Tom Anderson pioneered the sleek figured maple-capped S-style guitar with the introduction of the Drop Top in 1990, and it has been his most enduring model the past 3+ decades. This is a really excellent sounding guitar, striking a good balance of pure output and classic character across the many configurations made possible by the stacked SD1 "single coils", the H2+ neck humbucker, and the robust Switcheroo system. All the iconic S-style tones are easily achievable along with some higher-octane modern tones, making for an eminently versatile instrument capable of tackling any style. This guitar has been well cared-for and only shows very minor signs of handling in the finish and frets. It is currently equipped with a set of replacement hipshot tuning machines mounted on a plate that allowed for non-invasive installation requiring no modification of the peghead. The original set of tuning machines is included in the case.
