Description
Used 1999 Santa Cruz OO 12-fret featuring a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides in excellent condition and including its original hardshell case. This is, without question, one of the finest sounding fingerstyle guitars of any size in the shop — every note has an immediate woody transient that blooms into a lovely rich reverb laden with overtones. It doesn't take more than a few strums to become enchanted by this irresistible small-bodied guitar, and it plays great, too, with action measuring 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with .004" relief in the neck. Cosmetic appointments including full grained ivoroid binding, herringbone purfling, and abalone slotted diamond fretboard inlays. Overall condition is excellent, especially for an instrument of this age, with playwear limited to a few minor scuffs and dings throughout. One circular finish ding on the back of the neck has been dropfilled, leveled, and polished to match the surrounding gloss. The work was very competently done and while it may be visible under certain light, it can't be felt at all. Frets have been leveled in preparation for sale and are all freshly crowned and polished with plenty of material remaining.
