Description
Used 2002 Martin HD-28 LSV featuring a Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, and Vintage Series appointments in excellent condition and including its original hard-shell case. The design of this dreadnought draws inspiration from Clarence White's iconic 1934 D-28 (later owned by Tony Rice), with unique features including a bound fretboard with no position marker inlays and an oversized soundhole. This is an outstanding sounding instrument, highly responsive and loud, with a clear, powerful low end. An equally capable bluegrass cannon or songwriter's strummer that very much does justice to the legendary guitar that influenced its design. Spruce bracing is forward-shifted and expertly scalloped. Vintage Series specs include the modified-V mahogany neck and cut-through saddle. Cosmetic condition is excellent with finish wear limited to a shallow scuff on the butt end near the endpin and minimal signs of handling throughout. Frets are unworn at factory height.
