Description
A Concert Jumbo cutaway from the Hawaii workshop of James Goodall in 2005, featuring a Port Orford cedar top and mahogany back and sides in excellent condition and including its original hard-shell case. The materials and aesthetics here are all first-class, with the slight tangerine tint of the Port Orford cedar tied together with the figured mahogany by some lovely purpleheart binding. Port Orford cedar lends itself well to fingerstyle playing, with clear note separation and a precise midrange. Setup with action measuring 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with .007" relief in the neck. Cosmetic condition is largely unblemished, with playwear limited to a few small, shallow finish dings here and there and a circular scratch in the headstock overlay around the second string tuner post. Fretwire shows light wear in a few places beneath the plain strings only - tons of life in them yet. Equipped with Fishman Matrix Infinity electronics.
