Description
1989 Gibson J-200AN freshly serviced with a neck reset and a new nut and saddle in excellent all original condition and including its original hardshell case. A powerful jumbo with the classic punch, endless headroom, and dead perfect string balance of the best maple guitars. Condition is astonishingly clean for its age, with only the faintest whisper of wear evident in the fine lacquer finish. Frets are unworn at factory height and retain their original nibs. Setup with silky smooth action measuring a touch above 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with healthy saddle exposure over the surface of the bridge for future adjustment. The three-piece maple neck has a comfortable medium D profile with moderate shoulders and a notably tight fingerboard radius of 7.25", allowing for speedy navigation and painless barre chords. Pickguard, bridge, and tuning machines are all original.
