Learn the basics of the fiddle. A step-by-step approach for the beginner will cover finger placement, scales, arpeggios, how to use the bow and a few Irish/Scottish melodies.
Skills Needed: No experience needed!
What to Bring: Bring a fiddle, bow, tuner, notepad. Need to rent a fiddle? Try Olsen Violins (Phinney Ridge), Lasley Violins (University District), or Hammond Ashley Violins (Issaquah)
Teacher: Allan MacDonald is from Scotland and has played fiddle since 1978. He plays in Celtic sessions and bands in the Seattle area.
*Most classes and workshops are geared towards late-teens and adults. Younger learners will benefit most starting with private lessons.
