Used 2007 Martin JC-16RE Aura in excellent original condition including a hardshell case. Martin's production of their J model has always been limited, but every time one comes through here we wonder why they don't make more. The smaller upper bout and tighter waist make for great ergonomics while the full dreadnought depth delivers on overall volume and low-end response. This is a very capable guitar that handles fingerpicking, flatpicking, and strumming with equal facility. Freshly setup and playing smoothly with action measuring 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with .006" relief in the neck and proper saddle exposure above the surface of the ebony bridge.
Cosmetic condition is excellent for its age, with general minor wear including shallow pick marks on and around the guard, a few small dings in the back of the neck, and some chipping around the headstock. A pair of Schaller straplock buttons have been installed, one in the heel and one above the output jack in the endblock. Factory electronics are all working well. Frets were leveled, crowned, and polished in preparation for sale and are playing cleanly all the way up the striped ebony board.
