Description
Used James R. Fuller classical guitar handmade in Portland Oregon in 1984 featuring a spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides, in excellent condition and including a hardshell case. Information about Fuller is scant, but it's clear from holding and playing this instrument that he was a serious luthier with access to top-notch techniques and materials. The spruce top is remarkably straight grained and features five fan braces and two short wing braces on each side of the lower bout, and the Brazillian rosewood back is symmetrically bookmatched and shows some attractive spider-webbing. All interior joinery is super clean and expertly assembled. Setup with action measuring 3.5mm from the 12th fret to the bottom of the outside strings with a hint of relief in the neck. This guitar sounds sweet and clear with even string-to-string balance and accurate intonation. There is very little wear to be found in the fine lacquer finish and the frets are unworn.
