“Consistency is the key.”

When were you first introduced to music and what got you “hooked”?

Since I was five, I showed interest in the guitar, but it wasn’t until I was 14 that I got my first guitar. Alanis Morissette is one of my biggest influences, and seeing her playing guitar really inspired me to take a more serious and committed journey with my music.

What is one of your most memorable experiences as a performer?

I remember a performance in Mexico in which the audience was distracted and not very connected. But the moment I started playing, they paid attention and got quiet and receptive. It was amazing!

Do you have any good practice tips for music students or musicians in general?

I think it’s a better to practice a little every day than to practice once a week for a longer period of time. Consistency is the key.
