Inspired by the Kalamazoo "Oriole" guitars of the early 1940's, the Scissortail is a special edition in the WL-14 line. With a natural finish and figured maple back and sides, this model has a unique, focused tone and projection, while still retaining the "woody" sound characteristic of all Waterloos. The tigerstripe pickguard is a visually striking accent on the spruce top, and the decal of a "scissortail" bird on the headstock gives it a true-to-era vintage detail. All of the Waterloos are fun to play, but this model has an extra snap to the sound and look that truly make it stand apart from the others.
