1997 Gibson Dove in Cherry Sunburst featuring a Sitka spruce top and solid flamed maple back and sides in excellent condition and including its original Gibson hardshell case. A very satisfying strummer with the wisdom of its 30 years made apparent by its exceptional resonance and perfect string balance. Lean and powerful with a crystal-clear midrange and a snappy percussive transient. Setup for easy playing with action measuring a hair below 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with .007" relief in the neck. Premium appointments include aged white plastic binding and mother-of-pearl doves inlaid on the pickguard and bridge, and split parallelogram inlays on the rosewood fretboard. Cosmetic condition is excellent, with finish wear limited to some minor hazing and shallow surface scratching in the lacquer throughout and pick marks on and around the pickguard. Crack-free and all original with no history of repairs or modifications. Frets show minor wear beneath the plain strings in the first few positions only and the original nibs are intact.
