Deering's "Basic" banjo isn't a part of their catalog anymore, but it used to be their most affordable professional-level instrument. The cast steel pot offers a crisp, punchy sound that stays sweet, not piercing, and it saves a lot of weight (and cost) compared to the traditional wooden pot and brass tonering construction. Just a wonderful sounding, affordable workhorse. Great playing condition, shows play wear and some pitting of hardware.
