Take the next steps in your guitar playing by reviewing the basics then quickly moving on to new chords, arpeggiating and strumming quickly and the most important scale in folk, blues, and rock: the pentatonic scale. You’ll learn songs selected based your class’s interests. For students previously enrolled in Beginning Guitar 1 or those who can play at least three chords.
Skills Needed: Although this is a continuation of Beginning Guitar 1, you do not need to have taken that class to join this one. You should know a handful of chords (like E, A, G, C, and D) and be able to strum with your thumb or a pick.
What to Bring: Please bring a working, six-string guitar, tuner, and a device for recording and/or taking video. Need to rent a guitar? Dusty Strings has an affordable rental program. Please call (206) 634-1662 or come to the shop between 10:30am – 6pm as rentals are subject to availability.
