Country blues includes the southeastern (Piedmont) and southwestern traditions of Blind Boy Fuller, Mississippi John Hurt and Robert Johnson. This workshop will teach a classic tune from those traditions, how to develop strong thumb accompaniment and techniques for embellishment and improvisation.

Skills Needed: Knowledge of basic chords, barred chords, and familiarity with blues will help participants in this class for guitarists at intermediate and above skill levels.

What to Bring: Please bring your guitar. Please give us a call if you think your guitar might need a tune-up!

Teacher: Eric Madis is a working musician, recording artist and has taught guitar throughout the US and Canada since 1976.
