Break through writer's block, expand your musical community, and generate mountains of material at warp speed! This workshop on collaborative writing will introduce you to the essential Nashville songwriting process. We'll share techniques that master writers use to flesh out their best ideas, connect with an audience, and communicate with collaborators. Participants will pair up and write a new song, from scratch, during this 2-hour workshop. Sound intimidating? Then this workshop is for you! Two brains are faster than one. This is not a lecture style class– this is immersion.
Skills Needed: Participants should have written at least one song prior to taking this workshop. Getting from 0 to 1 is the biggest leap. Getting from 1 to 100 is the easy part!
What to Bring: An instrument, note pad and pen/pencil, or laptop for writing and notetaking.
