The Red-Eye Twin preamp is ideal for the musicain who plays two instruments at the same gig. The unit is principally designed for instruments using a passive piezo pickup, however it also works well with active acoustic pickups and magnetic pickups such as soundhole transducers. The impedance matching results in a smooth, balanced, natural sounding acoustic tone. It is powered by phantom power, but can also switch over to 9V battery power if the phantom power is not detected. There is internal filtering which helps eliminate hum from electrical sources.
