Description

Used Schoenberg 000 12-fret cutaway built in Eric Schoenberg's California workshop in 1998 by luthiers Julius Borges and John Slobold in excellent condition and including a hardshell case. With its ebony pyramid bridge and 1-13/16" nut width, this guitar's design lends itself perfectly to fingerstyle playing, but it still holds up great to a pick thanks in part to its Adirondack spruce top. This is a wonderful sounding instrument, rich with classic American flattop tones - crisp and articulate in the bass and harmonically lively all around. The mahogany neck sports a softened V profile and a modern Venetian-style cutaway offsets any navigation issues introduced by the 12th fret neck joint, offering unrestricted access to the upper frets. Overall cosmetic condition is excellent with very little wear in the finish and fretwire. Repair history includes a recent neck re-set and the stabilization/touchup of a hairline crack in the heel.
