2024 Collings MT2 Mandola featuring an Adirondack spruce top and Eastern flamed maple back and sides in excellent+ condition and including its original hardshell case. This mandola is virtually unplayed, with finish and its frets in very much the same condition as when it left the Collings factory last year. This is a lovely sounding instrument with nice punchy trebles and a complex midrange - you can really feel it moving in your bones. The carved Adirondack top features tight, parallel grain and the one-piece maple back exhibits some elaborate figuring, brought out nicely by the high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The maple neck is a comfortable rounded over V with medium shoulders and a compound radius ebony fretboard. Setup with action measuring a hair above 5/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with a hint of relief in the neck.
