Dusty Strings is honored to join Taylor Guitars in launching the latest addition to their Gold Label Collection – the new, redesigned, deep-bodied Grand Pacific. The Gold Label Collection instruments incorporate a slew of new, innovative features, including fanned V-Class top bracing (secured with hide glue), a new Action Control Neck with a long-tenon neck joint that allows adjustment for neck relief and neck angle with the strings at full tension, L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickups, and all-new design appointments, like a new headstock shape and script logo. Here in the shop we have a 517e SB (sunburst torrefied spruce top, mahogany back and sides) and 717e (torrefied spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides) and we’ve been impressed by the refreshed-but-classic sound of these guitars. They maintain Taylor’s impeccable playability while adding punch and presence, with a little more oomph in the midrange and sweet, rounder low end. You gotta come in and check out these guitars!
If our word isn't enough, we captured Chad Gibson and our own Miller McNay putting the guitars through their paces, with this sweet little rendition of Bill Monroe's "Gold Rush" you can find on our YouTube Channel.
