Used Gibson Ren Ferguson Master Museum J-200 Used Gibson Ren Ferguson Master Museum J-200 2007. Wow! This guitar is part of the Gibson Custom shop Master Museum series of premium, highly ornamented guitars, by Gibson master builder Ren Ferguson. The guitar features Sitka spruce top, highly figured ziricote back and sides, curly maple neck with carved heel, ebony fretboard and solid mustache bridge, gold closed-backed Grover tuners with Imperial Art Deco pearloid buttons, and ivoroid-bound plastic tortoise pickguard. Trim features are spectacularly ornate, with abundant pearl inlay. The body, fretboard, and headstock are fully bound in ivoroid and inlaid with abalone and the soundhole is rimmed by a multi-ringed abalone rosette. The fretboard, bridge, and headstock veneer are inlaid with Mother-of-Pearl in an intricate vine pattern, with the "Gibson" logo also inlaid on the headstock. Inside the guitar, Ren Ferguson's signature and the guitar serial number are inlaid with Mother-of-Pearl into an ebony inset in the mahogany neck block; even the interior reinforcement side-strips are inlaid! The guitar is in very good condition, with visible, but professionally repaired and cleated back cracks on the bass-side, a few fine finish scratches, two small dents on the back, and locally the pickguard pearl inlay stands slightly above the pickguard surface. All together, this is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind showpiece that plays and sounds like a dream! Includes the original hard case.
