Used John How Parlor Guitar
$1,895.00
A charming 12-fret parlor built in 2009 by luthier John How of Cool, CA in the tradition of the old ladder-braced classics the likes of Kalamazoo and Stella. A surprisingly powerful little guitar with rich woody midrange and bold, full-bodied trebles. Setup with action measuring 6/64" and 4/64" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the low and high strings, respectively, with .005" relief in the neck. Three-piece neck is constructed of mahogany and walnut and is a solid handful with rounded shoulders flattening slightly at the center. A center seam separation on the top has been expertly repaired and cleated and is fully stable. Finish wear includes some friction polishing of the satin on the treble side of the soundhole and general hazing throughout.
