Used Collings D2HT

An exceptional dreadnought from Collings's Traditional line in excellent cosmetic condition, equipped with a K&K pickup and including a premium Calton flight case. This guitar exceeds the already-high bar set by Collings and just sounds fantastic. It's everything one could want from a good rosewood dread - lively and responsive, dynamic and rich with overtones. Featuring a lightweight build with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, no tongue brace, ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and hide glue construction, this guitar has the heft and feel of a classic dreadnought from the golden age. The Vintage series sports a unique neck shape among Collings guitars, being a bit chunkier and offering a wider string spacing at the bridge. This instrument is professionally setup with comfortable playing action and substantial saddle exposure for future adjustment. This guitar is in very clean condition with playwear limited to faint finish scuffing on the back in the buckle zone and even fainter hazing of the finish on the lower bass bout where the arm crosses over. Frets have tons of life in them, with minor wear visible on the first five frets beneath the plain strings only. A passive K&K pickup has been professionally installed.
