Oct. 7 - 28: Beginning Guitar 2 with Jonathan Shue (In-Person)
Four Saturdays, October 7, 14, 21, 28
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
In-Person at Dusty Strings, 3406 Fremont Ave N
Registration deadline: Wednesday, October 4
Skills Needed: Although this is a continuation of Beginning Guitar 1, you do not need to have taken that class to join this one. You should know a handful of chords (like E, A, G, C, and D) and be able to strum with your thumb or a pick.
What to Bring: Please bring a working, six-string guitar, tuner, and a device for recording and/or taking video. You’ll receive PDF handouts and chord charts for practice. If you do not yet have a guitar, check out our affordable rental program here. We’re also happy to guide you through the process of purchasing a guitar and finding the right one for you.
Take the next steps in your guitar playing by reviewing the basics then quickly moving on to new chords and the most important scale in folk, blues, and rock: the pentatonic scale. You’ll continue learning popular songs from the 50's, 60's, and 70's and begin singing along to as you play! For students previously enrolled in Beginning Guitar 1 or those who can play at least three chords.
