A deeper dive into Aryeh’s popular “Tips for Arranging” workshops, this workshop will help you think about your left-hand technique in ways that can help free your mind, get your eyes off the page/sheet music, and help you grow your own personal style. It also encourages improvisation and development of your own arrangements. In other words, how to think like a rhythm guitarist! You will discuss what this means and how it may be different from other approaches to harp and in particular the left hand. You will also explore a variety of “rhythm guitar” patterns and techniques so that you can apply your new-found strategies.
About Aryeh
Touring musician, record producer, and recording artist Aryeh Frankfurter has delighted audiences around the globe with passionate, enduring, and evocative music for more than twenty years. His uncommon approach to folk harp music—and command of the Swedish nyckelharpa—have earned him accolades from The International Folk Harp Journal, Alternate Music Press, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Classical Guitar Magazine. He has performed for Prince Charles and Lady Camilla Bowles Parker, for an audience of thousands at Dalhalla Amphitheatre in Rattvik, Sweden, at Sweden’s Musik Vid Siljan, as well as at festivals, fairs, conferences, and music camps as both a performer and teaching artist. His music is syndicated on Public Radio International (PRI) and he has shared the stage with Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne, Barbara Higbie, and Liz Story. “A gem among the San Francisco musician scene,” writes the Bay Area Folk Harp Society Journal.
