Ragtime blues encompasses the southeastern (Piedmont) and southwestern traditions of Blind Boy Fuller, Mississippi John Hurt, and Big Bill Broonzy. Working with a classic tune in this tradition, you will learn how to develop a strong thumb accompaniment and techniques for embellishment and improvisation. For intermediate and advanced guitarists. Eric Madis is a working musician and recording artist and has taught guitar throughout the US and Canada since 1976.
