Get your frail on! The basic rhythm of clawhammer banjo is the foundation for playing and enjoying tunes. Review how to make the claw then how to hammer. Learn basic chords in open G tuning (GDGBD) and melodies that include slides, pull-offs, and hammer-ons. If time allows, explore G modal tuning (GDGCD) and double-thumbing without dropping the thumb. Recording and filming devices recommended. Pre-requisite: experience with a stringed instrument (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, etc.).
