Banjo Classes

Beginning Clawhammer Banjo 2

Molly Tenenbaum
Six Wednesdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
6 weeks, $120

Want more ways to have fun with the banjo? This class continues where Beginning Clawhammer 1 left off. You’ll explore Double C tuning, add more melody notes, develop more complex rhythmic patterns, and add to your repertoire of tunes and songs. This class emphasizes the old-timers’ way of learning by ear but also provides some written musical cues to take home. If you know the basic frailing pattern, can comfortably play some simple songs and chords in G tuning, and want more, then this class is for you. Recording devices highly recommended. Grab your banjo and get ready to raise a ruckus!
