Learn basic musical concepts and discover the fun of playing music and singing together! Dusty Strings Music School teacher Audrey Goodman leads this exploratory class where students get to play a variety of easy-to-learn instruments and sing along to familiar American and international folk songs. They’ll learn foundational concepts of music consisting of pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, and dynamics; the great composers of classical music, language, and stories; and how to arrange songs together to sound like a full band. Students may bring their own instrument, choose from a selection of high-quality Orff instruments, or simply sing along! Short performance for friends and family on the final day. For kindergarten through second grade.

Learn music through the awesome power of the ukulele! Students discover the foundational concepts of music consisting of rhythm, tempo, pitch, melody, major and minor keys, and more as they learn to play one of today’s most popular musical instruments. Dusty Strings Music School teacher Audrey Goodman leads this class for 3rd – 5th graders as they explore a variety of folk and pop/rock songs, how to read music, and how to play and sing music together. Short performance for friends and family on the last day. Ukuleles provided by Dusty Strings.
